Two papers on the same day, 80 marks in total. Each paper has 105 minutes of writing time after 15 minutes of reading (cool-off) time.

What is asked

Questions come from the Class 4 lessons that are fully completed by 31 January of the school year — not the whole year’s syllabus.
General Knowledge (10 marks)
About 40% current affairs, and about 60% from three themes that SCERT announces at the start of each school year.
Last year’s (2025–26) themes were: Kerala — basic facts, Birds, Indian Independence Struggle. Check this year’s themes with your school.
Who is eligible
യോഗ്യത
Students in Class 4 who scored an A grade in Malayalam, English, Maths and EVS in both the second formative assessment (FA-II) and the second term exam (SA-II). Relaxations apply for children with special needs and for SC/ST/OEC students. Registration is done through the school.
